For this project, we embarked on an “alphabetical” scavenger hunt. Our goal was to assemble a minimum 26 shot video, focused on visual metaphors. We Illustrated the alphabet with individual shots or whole scenes. We were literal, poetical, and metaphorical. The shots are not in the order of the alphabet, but each letter is represented. Each shot is a minimum of 5 seconds and a maximum of 8 seconds. All the footage was shot using a mobile media package.
For this assignment, we were required to incoporate the following:
- Use of 500mm telephoto lens
- Use of Timelapse device
- Use of Motrr tool for panning/tilting
- Selfie Stick with tripod for low-angle/high-angle shots
We were evaluated on the following:
– Shot sequencing
– Camera stability
– Frame composition
– Control/use of light
– Appropriate use of device (cameras) based on distance and angle
